Forty years or more as art director and designer in the music business,
the latter half of which as proprietor of renowned studio Wherefore Art?,
is inevitably going to leave some unfinished business to attend to along
with some creative issues. Foremost of these is the stress of working
for that most difficult and demanding of clients, the one who doesn’t
actually exist, but who instead inhabits the blank screen and the
tip-tap-tapping of idle fingertips.
  As a consequence, Off The Record is a new collection of graphic
images, available for sale and for exhibition, which owes its inspiration
to decades of immersion in the world of music and the creative business.
